Preparing for Pastoral Ministry, Church Planting and Campus Ministry
Redeemer Seminary is also the location of the offices of the Southwest Church Planting Network, and seeks to prepare graduates for pastoral ministry, church planting and/or campus ministry through a variety of churches and organizations.
PCPC has an open “temporary” Sr. Administrative Assistant to Children’s Ministry position. This is a 40 hour a week position for the next one to three months supporting Nursery, Childcare, Pre-school and Elementary. The person in this role will be welcome to apply for the regular position which is targeted to be filled this summer. Responsibilities include support ranging from administrative (emailing, calendaring, database updates, and running reports, CBC’s, editing, printing, copying, binding) to classroom support (set up, supply ordering and re-stocking). Preferred are the following: two to five years administrative experience, flexibility to adapt to a variety of requests with a joyful and serving spirit, mobility to walk from classroom to classroom, love children and be a PCPC member. Hours are Monday through Friday with sporadic Sunday mornings or special events. We are targeting this person to start by Tuesday May 28 if possible. Esperanza Church (Memphis, Tennessee), an EPC church plant supported by Second Presbyterian Church seeks a full-time pastor to lead a Hispanic church plant with about 40 congregants. The church was birthed from relationships that developed through involvement with a public elementary school located in a working class neighborhood with a significant concentration of Hispanics. The current services are primarily in Spanish to accommodate most of the regular adult worshippers; programs for children are in English. Park City Presbyterian Church’s bookstore has started carrying all the books needed for Redeemer courses and will continue to do so in the future. They will try to offer lower than average prices and are happy to price match for students if they find lower prices elsewhere. The PCPC bookstore will be having a half-price book sale from Sunday, April 14th through Sunday, April 21st. It is late in the semester already, but here is the book-price list for the books they have for this semester.
