"What if theological education was not first and foremost about what we know, but about what we love?" - James K. A. Smith

Brown Bag Lunches

A great way to get connected and meet local ministers is through Brown Bag Lunches. Each week we invite a pastor from around the area to come and have lunch with students. This is an opportunity to ask anything and everything as you learn from their experience and wisdom. The Brown Bag Lunches are great way to expose yourself to ministers from many different Christian traditions. Whether Baptist, Presbyterian, Anglican, or Episcopal we are excited to learn from the experience of those who love Christ and want to see his kingdom expanded.

We value having students at Redeemer shaped by exposure to a multitude of voices from those who call Christ Lord. Some of the best questions are the ones about why certain traditions do what they do, and most often, the answers may surprise you. The Brown Bag Lunches are a great way to see the fullness of the body of Christ that you might not otherwise had the opportunity to see. Many relationships are built during these times that last the extent of your seminary career and beyond and give you a fuller picture of what Christ is doing in the earth.
