Central to Redeemer’s mission is the preparation of disciples of Jesus Christ for Christian service, and indispensable to that effort is a faculty made up of disciple-makers—that is to say, men and women who are themselves disciples.

Since we believe that theological education is a process of growth in discipleship as well as academic knowledge, the members of our faculty seek to embody not only academic distinction but also excellence as teachers and pastoral care and compassion. Candidates for the Redeemer faculty must demonstrate their qualifications as two of the following: able researchers and contributors to the fields of biblical and theological studies, engaging teachers who demonstrate and communicate effectively their mastery of their area of specialty, or faithful shepherds and counselors of God’s people who reflect in their ministry the character of Christ.

With a faculty shaped by and seeking to inculcate these values in our students, we hope to be truly a learning community in which disciples become disciple-makers and equip others for a life of God-honoring service in our Lord’s Church.
