SENEGAL MISSIONS TRIP: June 29 – July 7, 2012
Redeemer is excited to invite you to join us on a summer mission’s trip to Senegal, West Africa as a partnership between Redeemer Seminary and Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Redeemer desires not only to serve the local church but to also serve the international church by partnering with local churches. It is very important that we give our students the opportunity to see what God is doing to spread his kingdom throughout the world to help shape a global perspective for the Great Commission. In addition to serving the Lord and His church in West Africa, you may earn 2 semester hours of academic credit (with completion of academic assignments for PTM 650 Cross-Cultural Missions Trip) or complete seminary Mentored Ministry hours by participating.
Redeemer Seminary wants to encourage students to participate in cross-cultural ministry opportunities and is therefore offering 100% scholarships for the academic credit tuition cost. You may enroll for 2 semester hours of academic credit and you will receive a 100% scholarship for the tuition cost of the 2 semester hours. This is a value of $860 at full tuition rates. There will be reading and written assignments associated with earning the academic credit.

Visit Goree Island:
GoreƩ was a main French entry point off the coast of Africa for slavers and merchantmen. Many Africans came through this port on their way to slavery. After the abolition of the slave trade in France in 1848, GoreƩ was an outpost for policing the seas. As its role in trade declined, it became a stepping off point for French colonization in the interior of West Africa.
